Christos Tsigkanos (Assis. Prof. Dr. Habil.) is assistant professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where he is bootstrapping the Space Software Group. He received (2017) his PhD at Politecnico di Milano and also holds Habilitation (2022). Senior Researcher at the University of Bern (Switzerland), Lise Meitner Fellow at TU Vienna (Austria) and post-doctoral researcher at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). He has co-authored over 50 conference and journal papers (Rank A*/A: 24), and has been awarded an ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award (2020). He regularly serves as program committee member and reviewer in several top international conferences and journals in his field (e.g., ACM/IEEE ESEC/FSE, IEEE TSE, ACM SEAMS, ACM TOSEM, IEEE TSC). His research has been funded (as Principal Investigator) from SNF/Switzerland, FWF/Austria and HFRI/Greece. His interests lie in the intersection of software and (software) systems engineering - including dependable systems, applied formal methods and space software.
