The Doctoral Studies Program of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (AST) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is organized and operates in accordance with the provisions of Law 4957/2022 and the applicable institutional framework in force at any given time. Its purpose is to promote original scientific research and it leads to the award of a Doctoral Degree (PhD), which certifies the conduct of original research and the substantial contribution of its holder to the advancement of knowledge in any field of Aerospace Science and Technology.
Candidates who meet the requirements for admission to doctoral studies may apply to pursue a doctoral dissertation in collaboration with a company or industry based in Greece, or with a branch operating in Greece. This collaboration αφορά the conduct of industrial or applied research aimed at generating research outcomes for the development of innovative products or services.
The Department of AST accepts applications for the expression of interest in undertaking a doctoral dissertation throughout the academic year. Interested candidates are required to submit an application to the Department Assembly through the Secretariat of the Department.
