Dr. Stavros Kolios studied Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessalonikiand heholds a Master Degree about"Environmental Physics" in the same Department. He also holds a PhD from the University of the Aegean, Department of Geography related to remote sensing with emphasis in satellite meteorology. His research interests include remote sensing of environment, meteorology-climatology and GIS applications. He has participated in various research / developmental projects. He is the main author of one scientific book (entitled “GIS and Environmental Monitoring: Applications in the Marine, Atmospheric and Geomagnetic Fields”) published from Springer. Since 2021, he is Assistant Professor at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
