For students enrolled in the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology, completion of studies is defined as the successful completion of at least forty-one (41) courses (attendance and examination), of which thirty (30) are compulsory courses and eleven (11) are elective courses (selected from a total of twenty-three available electives), as well as the successful completion and examination of the Diploma Thesis.
The total workload per semester (including all courses of the Undergraduate Study Program, both compulsory and elective) is estimated to correspond to thirty (30) ECTS credits from the 1st through the 7th semester, while the 8th semester includes fifteen (15) ECTS credits dedicated to the Diploma Thesis, which are included within the overall 30 ECTS workload of the semester. The Diploma Thesis itself corresponds to fifteen (15) ECTS credits.
In summary, the Degree Certificate is awarded to students of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology upon successful fulfillment of the following requirements:
▪ completion of eight (8) semesters of study,
▪ successful completion of forty-one (41) semester courses (30 compulsory and 11 elective courses), or successful completion of thirty-nine (39) semester courses (30 compulsory and 9 elective courses) together with the Internship Program,
▪ successful completion of the Diploma Thesis,
▪ accumulation of the required two hundred and forty (240) ECTS credits (courses and Diploma Thesis combined), in accordance with the applicable institutional framework.
The official graduation declaration process takes place three times per academic year, at the end of each examination period (winter semester, spring semester, and the September resit examination period).
